Cloudy periods: A large portion of the year is cloudy. Panels must generate efficiently in both direct and indirect sunlight to maximize energy production year-round.

Is Darwin’s climate good for lithium batteries?

Yes — Lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO₄) batteries perform optimally at a stable 32°C. By strategically placing batteries in shaded, weather-protected locations, your system maintains ideal operating temperatures, ensuring longer life and reliability — even more so than in southern regions where temperatures swing from freezing cold to very hot.

Do I need cyclone-rated panels and mounting?
